Funded nutrition talk and cooking classes for parents at Redcliffe Nursery School, Bristol

Join us for a fun and friendly talk and cooking classes at Redcliffe Nursery School, Bristol.

Batch Cook Club and Redcliffe Nursery School are inviting parents into the nursery kitchen to:

  • learn new skills

  • find out about family nutrition

  • meet other parents and

  • take food home to feed the family.

Free for Redcliffe Nursery School parents and carers to attend, we are excited to be hosting:

  • A lunch and learn with nutritional therapist, Seema Vekaria took place on Wednesday 15 October 2025 1.30-2.45pm [past event]

  • Five practical cooking workshops.

  • All classes are fully funded - book on for free below.

Workshop menus

Veg-loaded Mexican chilli

Wednesday 6 May, 12.30-2.45pm

Packed with veg and beans, this chilli sin carne is made with a kid friendly level of spice. Served with mixed grains and a simple salsa, this meal is delicious, nutritious and great for all the family.

Nuggets & sweet potato dip

Wednesday 13 May, 12.30-2.45pm

Transform left-over bread into golden breadcrumbs to make our delicious nuggets (chicken or halloumi). And learn how to make a sweet yet savoury sweet potato dip - it’ll rival any ketchup!

Creamy coconut curry

Wednesday 3 June, 12.30-2.45pm

Learn to make a mild and creamy chickpea, lentil and spinach curry, served with mixed grains and sprouted mung beans (kids love these crunchy sprouts!)..

Pesto and Mac & Cheese

Wednesday 20 May, 12.30-2.45pm

We’ll show you how quick it is to make your own pesto, and a healthier version of all the kids favourite - mac and cheese. Using butternut squash, we add in extra veg - but they’ll never know!

Picky bits

Wednesday 17 June, 12.30-2.45pm

Learn to make hummus, dips and stuffed dates - perfect to batch make and keep in the fridge for those evenings when you just need a fuss-free picky bits dinner!
